MEN'S SILENT RETREAT AT ST. MICHAEL'S ABBEY

The noise, hustle, and mess of life are huge distractions from the still small voice of God. He is always there, loving you and speaking to you, but you forget to listen. Step away from the intensity of daily life. Rediscover your Father’s love in the silence. This one-day silent retreat will include: conferences to deepen your knowledge of God, Mass, and confession. A light Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Retreat Schedule

7:00 a.m. – Mass (The community Mass will be our retreat Mass.)

8:00 a.m. –Check-In and Breakfast

8:45 a.m. – Introduction and guidelines. Silence officially begins at this point.

9:00-9:45 – First Talk

9:45 a.m. – Time for personal reflection/break (You may go to the permitted areas inside/outside—no talking please.)

10:15 a.m. – Second Talk

11:00 a.m. – Time for personal reflection/break (You may go to the permitted areas inside/outside—no talking please.)

11:30 a.m. – All go to the Church—Silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Join the Norbertines for community prayers at 12 noon.

12:30 p.m. – Lunch in silence 

1:15 p.m. – Time for personal reflection/break (You may go to the permitted areas inside/outside—no talking please.)

1:45 p.m. – Third Talk.

2:30 p.m. – Time for personal reflection/break (You may go to the permitted areas inside/outside—no talking please.)

3:00 p.m. – Divine Mercy Chaplet/Rosary/Stations of the Cross

4:00 p.m. – Q&A

4:30 p.m. – Final Blessing. (Any cleanup is appreciated.)

*Fr. Miguel will hear confessions during the times for personal reflection/break.

9:45-10:15 11:00-11:30 1:15-1:45 2:30-3:00

The abbey confessions will also be taking place between 1:00-4:00 pm.
